A Project Owner posts a new project on www.krowse.com expecting capable and professional freelancers (who are registered on the site) to execute the same within the given budget range and committed timelines. If available, requirement documents are also uploaded during project submission to give a better understanding of the project. A bidding window with a cutoff date is specified within which bids are to be received by the project. All projects would belong to a main category and a subcategory, for e.g., Main category - Software Development and Subcategory - Java.
Project Owners can avail of features such as marking their projects as special projects, hiding the bids received from other freelancers for maintaining confidentiality, all by paying a small fee. The fee structure is described on the fees page. The submitted project will be vouched by our team to check if it does not violate the protocols mentioned at this link. Once found satisfactory, the project would be made available for searching and bidding on the site.
Only freelancers whose primary skillset matches that of the project main category would be allowed to bid on such projects. The bidder would input the bidding details (amount, ETC, and other details) on the bidding page. Apart from this, the freelancer can avail of features like marking the bid as special, high-ranking the bid, and getting email notifications when the freelancer's bid is outbid by another freelancer's bid for a lesser amount. These are paid features and the details thereof are available on the fees page.
The bids for a project will have to be placed within the cutoff date of the bidding window, as mentioned in the above section 'New Projects'. No bidding would be allowed beyond that, unless the project owner extends the same.
After the closure of the bidding window, the Project Owner is expected to carefully scrutinize the bids received before taking an informed decision about the choice of a particular freelancer to execute the project. Consequently, the Project Owner would award the project to the chosen freelancer. At the time of the award of the project, the award fees are calculated for each bid received and will be deducted from the Project Owners balance.
Awarding of project by project Owner is followed by accepting or rejecting the same by the freelancer. On acceptance of the project, a fee will be charged to the freelancer as mentioned on the fees page. Alternatively, the freelancer can choose to reject the project also, in which case the Project Owner is free to award the project to any other freelancer who had bid for the same project. The Project Owner can then start the project.
Once the project deliverables are complete, the freelancer can submit the work to the project Owner for review and mark it as complete. If the latter is satisfied with the quality of the deliverable, then he/she can mark the project as closed.
Once the project is closed, both parties (project owner and freelancer) can use the rating and review module to rate the other party on a scale of 1 to 5 and record review comments. This will be immensely helpful for others using the website when choosing to work with them.
In case, freelancer/project owners want to , they can deposit escrow payments with the www.krowse.com to be released on successful milestone completion. Project owners can pay also freelancers directly, outside of www.krowse.com, as per mutual agreement. Once a project kicks off, we will open communication channels between the two parties using the message module. This can be used to negotiate and discuss elements of the project execution process between the two parties.
